In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
