19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid season, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his first title following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since March of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 various events.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on court had prompted some to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
But the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden tour championship, took control to force a third set.
He rescued four early break points in a tight final set before the Russian secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, he earned victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
